What security services do you provide?
Comprehensive Security Services, Inc. provides a range of security services. This includes basic patrol services for commercial properties administered by security officers. It also includes event security services carried out by law enforcement officers.
What is the difference between armed and unarmed security?
Armed security guards can carry firearms. They may use them when responding to threats. Unarmed security guards are prohibited from carrying firearms. They use non-lethal methods, such as surveillance and communication, in response to threats.
How do I know which type of security service I need?
You can determine the necessary security type by identifying potential threats to your commercial property or event. This will help you devise security solutions to mitigate them. CSSI can develop effective security protocols tailored to your needs.
Do you offer 24/7 security coverage?
We offer 24/7 coverage to ensure our clients are always protected. We also provide 365-day coverage.
Can you provide short-term or event-specific security?
We can provide short-term or event-specific security services. Contact us to develop a customized security plan tailored to your specific needs.
Personnel & Training
How are your security officers screened and hired?
We pre-screen all security guards. We only hire trained and licensed candidates. We also ensure they’re registered with the right agencies. The California Department of Consumer Affairs is one example.
What kind of training do your guards receive?
Our security guards are trained in safety. They’re also provided with de-escalation skills. Additionally, we ensure they receive the latest training. We keep them informed about industry developments.
Are your armed guards licensed to carry firearms?
Our armed guards are licensed to carry firearms. Many are retired or off-duty law enforcement officers. They have extensive experience using them.
Do your guards wear uniforms? Can they wear plain clothes?
Our guards are typically outfitted in black uniforms with duty belts, allowing them to maintain a professional appearance. We can also outfit them in plain clothes in some instances.
Are your guards trained in emergency response or first aid?
Our guards are trained to respond in emergencies. They’re also prepared to provide first aid. Let us know if you require guards with experience in these areas.

We tailor our security services to meet the specific needs of our clients. We develop personalized security plans tailored to their needs.
Do you offer security assessments or consultations?
We continually assess our clients’ security needs during free initial consultations to better understand their needs. This enables us to recommend the ideal security services.
What industries or facilities do you specialize in protecting?
We specialize in protecting a wide range of facilities across various industries. CSSI can safeguard construction and industrial sites, schools, and hotels. We can also protect special events, apartment complexes, and other commercial buildings.
How quickly can you deploy security to a new location?
We can deploy security guards to new locations immediately. Our regular booking cut-off time is 4 PM daily with the exception of emergency service. Contact us when you realize you need guards. We will assess the situation and determine how we can help.
Can your officers work with existing surveillance systems?
Our officers can work with existing surveillance systems. We recommend consulting with our support staff to discuss your situation. They will determine if we can offer assistance.

Are you insured and bonded?
CSSI is fully licensed, insured, and bonded. Our clients enjoy peace of mind because of it.
What happens in the event of an incident while your guard is on duty?
We will conduct a thorough investigation if an incident occurs while a guard is on duty at your commercial property or event. We will then communicate our findings to you. We will also work with local, state, and/or federal law enforcement agencies during their investigations.
Pricing & Contracts
How is your pricing structured for armed vs. unarmed services?
Our unarmed services cost less than our armed services. However, our prices vary. Your total cost will depend on the type of guards you hire. The number of guards required and other factors will also affect it.
Do you require long-term contracts? Or, are month-to-month options available?
We are open to working with clients seeking long-term contracts. We also welcome those looking for month-to-month options. Let us help you find the best fit.
Service
What are your hours of operation?
Our office operates Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Our booking cut-off time is 4 PM. We provide security services 24/7/365.
What is your service area?
We go far and wide — way further than our competition. We offer local service in Northern California for event clients, statewide service in California and Nevada for commercial clients, and nationwide service for federal clients.
What services do you offer, and what are the levels of security guards?
We offer guard, patrol, and consulting services. We employ three main types of guards: Level 1 (unarmed guards), Level 2 (armed guards), and Level 3 (off-duty law enforcement officers).
Do you have availability for my project or event?
We strive to fulfill all requests. However, our availability changes daily. It’s best to book services as soon as possible. At the very least, give us a heads-up once you have a security need on your radar.
Can you provide emergency or same-day security services?
We offer 24-hour emergency service. Please note that same-day service requires you to call us by 4 PM. This gives us time to issue an urgent service alert to our field team.
Do you have patrol vehicles?
We have a large patrol fleet consisting of Toyota Prius (Level 1) and Ford Maverick (Level 2) vehicles. We also have specialized 4×4 Ford Explorers for jobs requiring off-road capabilities.
How can you provide services so far away from your offices?
We utilize hybrid vehicles, pre-positioned team leaders, and performance-based incentives that are measured by response time.
I am a government contracting officer with an RFP. Can you submit a bid?
Yes! Please call us to inform us of your due date, and we will gladly prepare a responsive bid proposal — even on short notice and during emergencies.
